Whidbey Homeless Coalition
The Whidbey Homeless Coalition was formed to address and solve the growing problem of homelessness on Whidbey Island. Its mission: To make homelessness a brief and rare experience.
Since the start of the pandemic, Whidbey Community Foundation has given Whidbey Homeless Coalition much needed emergency funds, allowing housing stability for 61 individuals in imminent risk of becoming homeless. The families who have received funds are comprised of 34 households, with 17 children. WHC was able to provide 480 meals, 44 gallons of water, 220 masks, 4 cases of diapers, and helped with apartment application fees as well as essential ID cards.
