connection. deep listening. action.
We’re in tumultuous times. We need to create a stronger sense of community if we’re going to thrive.
After 8 years of hosting gatherings, making films about what makes communities thrive, we’ve learned something about resilient communities.
Come to our annual gathering. Every TC Gathering weaves its own kind of magic. The more diverse the group, the more successful the experience. It’s a weekend of connecting, deep listening, and action. Watching films together brings us closer and feeds the soul.
The best word for the experience is profound.
SAVE THE DATE: March 19 - 21, 2020
Please join us in for our 9th annual Gathering of Thriving Communities at Whidbey Institute!
THRIVING COMMUNITIES believes in sharing stories to support a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other.
TC’s Gathering gives us all an opportunity to connect about the power and spirit of community in our lives and the world.
We are proud to watch films and gather together to create rich relationships and refresh what inspires us to do THE WORK.
This year’s Gathering will explore and celebrate individuals and communities who are doing deep work surrounding challenges of invisibility and loneliness.
Our films will tell the stories of:
Nyema Clark and Nurturing Roots an urban farm on Beacon Hill
Ryan’s House for Youth an organization created to support and help homeless and at-risk youth
Whidbey Island Homeless Coalition, an organization working to recognize and solve the growing the homeless population on Whidbey Island
iCare, specializing in managed care health insurance plans for people with disabilities and low incomes.
