As an opening to the 2024 San Juan Islands Agricultural Summit, OCPA and SOURCE paper are excited to announce an evening of FILM AND COMMUNITY CONVERSATION with Lummi Nation based production company, Children of the Setting Sun Productions (CSSP), and Spirit Farm from Navajo Nation. All are welcome to join!

The  screening will feature short films that share perspectives and  practices that nourish communities and honor Indigenous ways of knowing.  Following the films there will be a Q+A dialogue with CSSP and Spirit  Farm crew members.

Before the evening's events , Farm to Ferry  food truck will be cooking up delicious local fare in the lot adjacent  to the theater. Come early to support our local farmers and food truck!

An  “Offering Table” will be available at the screening for the community  to contribute food and/or gifts, which will be distributed to the  honored speakers from the film screening and the Traditional Foodways  workshop being held at the SJI Ag Summit on Friday, March 8th. This is a  beautiful chance to show gratitude through gifting. We thank you.

*$10+  suggested, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Thanks to the  generosity of community sponsors, all ticket proceeds and donations will  go directly to the speakers.

Pictured: James and Joyce Skeet of Spirit Farm who will be in attendance at this screening. Listen to our podcast with them to go deeper into the story of their farm and work and catch the film trailer here. This is in connection with the San Juan Agricultural Summit -- learn more.
